Johnstone’s Trade Stormshield Render Basecoat – 25kg is a high-performance basecoat render designed to deliver a durable and reliable foundation for exterior rendering systems. Developed as a cement based system for blockwork and brickwork masonry, it provides excellent adhesion and strength, making it suitable for both refurbishment and new-build applications.

Engineered to perform in demanding environments, this basecoat withstands harsh weather conditions, providing long-term protection for exterior walls. The formulation includes polymer modification which enhances flexibility, minimizing cracks over time, helping maintain the appearance of the render system.

The product is for use within Johnstone’s Trade Stormshield external wall insulation systems or as part of a direct-to-masonry render solution, offering versatility across a wide range of façade projects. Johnstone’s render basecoat should be applied directly onto suitably prepared masonry surfaces or approved insulation boards, ensuring a strong and stable base layer for subsequent finishes.

Designed for efficiency on site, the render sets within 24 hours under ideal conditions, speeding up project timelines and allowing follow-on coats to be applied without unnecessary delays. It is suitable for exterior use and can be applied with a trowel or spray gun, providing flexibility depending on the size and requirements of the project.
