“If you know, you know. A gorgeous deep mustard yellow with brownish undertones… tasty!”

When designing these colours I had brush out samples up on the wall and one of the team shouted, ‘it looks just like pease pudding!’ and I couldn’t then get that name out of my mind! Somewhat of a northern delicacy, this deep mustard yellow has muted brown undertones to make it feel more earthy and neutral. This stunning ochre shade is a great option when trying to warm up the cool light of a north facing room or in a west facing room that benefits from cosy evening light.

Earthy tones can make any space feel inviting and homey as opting for nature inspired tones bring an instant cosiness to your space. Deep, reddish browns and warming ochres offer a strong but subdued shade linked with nature to offer a grounding but luxurious feeling environment. These shades pair beautifully with natural textures so bare this in mind when accessorising!
