ABS 10MM SHAPE: FLAT STRIPS 440MM
Plastic (Thermoplastic) welding rods are widely used in the automotive industry for car bumpers and motorcycle parts. Ideal for use with Hot Air Plastic Welders and Nitrogen Plastic Welders.
ABS plastic is heat-resistant, lightweight and impact-resistant. For applications requiring extra toughness, this plastic is often shot through with microscopic glass fibres. This adds significant strength to the material.
IDENTIFICATION
Most manufacturers have a code on the bumper or part to help in the identification of the plastics used. If no identification is present, then carry out a short weld test. If the repair sticks when fully cold, then you have a suitable match.
